There are many, many reviews of this IEM, so any remarks I make here won't be very useful. In fact, 3+ years of great reviews is what made me so interested in this set. If you are trying to make a purchasing decision regarding the Mest MKII, so ahead and buy it. The legends are true. It is so fun!
Here are three observations. These are minor things that I learned after hearing it for myself:
- I received the new packaging, which is not described in most reviews. I tried several different aftermarket tips when I first got my Mest MKII, but the included tips in this new packaging are the best for me.
-The bass did surprise me, deeper and bigger than I thought. This is a happy surprise: it is delicious.
-I read many reviews saying the Mest MKII is brutal on old recordings, but I don't find that to be true, at least in my library. Old R&B, Jazz, and poorly-recorded Funk sound natural and alive.
If you are eyeing the Mest MKII, go ahead and buy it. Buy it here from MusicTeck: I cannot find it at a better price. Shipping was fast and free. Communication before the sale was really good too.
End-game iem for the price(999$).
Good sounstage, separation and imaging. Holographic sound. Non-fatiguing. Bass is decent/good but I would say is not for basshead people(maybe i need to try other tips). Fit is good. Good for gaming.
The new packaging is gorgeous.
For me, the mest mk2 is better than monarch mk2 and Sony ier-z1r.
What more can i say?.. Mest is the best.
I've had a pair of JHAudio JH13V2PRO for about 6 years now and it was time for an upgrade. Technically has really progressed in the IEM space in that time. The Mest MKII is better in literally every way. Thankfully UM still offers a custom shell service. I'll definitely have this done due to my tiny ears.
My first bc driver iems expirience and i love it. Shop is great, best of the best service. Would recommend for purchase and will continue to order here <3
Take note that i got this on sale even though id say its worth full price.
ive got heavy hitters such as EE odin and Bravura Warwick and Sonoma in my collection but i wanted to see what the hype was all about..it isent hype..this is genuine an awesome pair!
i find it abit hot on the treble on some songs and my ears havent adjusted quite yet to the bone conductor but im suprised how clean and engaging this pair is so far.
no regrets buying it!
I own virtually all the TOTL iems, and I have never heard one as detailed and moving as the PMG APX SE. The bass thumps, the treble glistens, the soundstage is all over and the definition amongst instruments is the best I have heard. It is my clear favorite now.
First, I must tell that I am not an audiophile, just a music enthusiast. Owning only headphones wanted to give a try to IEMs since I am always on the go. This being my first IEM, wanted to invest in something good so after searching in this price range and reading multiple reviews, decided to go for the Softears Enigma.
Photographs don’t give enough credit; this set is gorgeous and elegant. Engaging, without being extremely striking, so I can listen to my music while I wear suit at work or jeans on the street. But, above all, the sound. Enigma just blowout my mind. Fantastic for my taste: beautifully balance, with good clarity, detail, separation and expanded soundstage. And in the center of all that, the magic of that vocal tuning. Some audiophiles find Enigma treble recessed, not for me: everything is there in the right amount and when music asks for a stronger performance, they become energetic. And add to that excellent comfort.
I pair them with iBasso DX320MAX Ti, Mojo 2 and Lotoo PAW GT2.
I am very happy with them and grateful with Andrew and his team.
Being a lover of Dita Audio products, I was intrigued by this unknown Singapore IEM. Its drivers setup looked interesting and let me overlook the shiny steampunk-like like look I am not a fan of. With the very kind and soft assistance from MusicTeck's mrs. Grace, some fine reviews of Jomo Audio products, I decided to try it.
Well it is very good. I love acoustic music, jazz classics from the '40s to' 70s mainly. This is a fine IEM on a technical revealing side of soumd. I love Nautilus detailed and airy mids and highs the most but the bass is almost perfect too, authoritative and textured. The soundstage wide and perfectly arranged. Thank you Jomo Audio (and MusicTeck for the friendly Assistance).
The driver set up in the BGVP Phantom SE makes its price all the more amazing. Double DD's AND double BC's with a BA from Sonion AND one from Knowles. Pretty sick. And may I just say....the sound is unique and extremely loveable! The way the Phanton SE layers notes within the stage is amazing. Right to left stereo is phenomenal. They've conjured up a tuning that sort of redefines sound stage as I define it. It's well balanced from mid-bass all the way up through the treble which extends to the moon. The lowend sub bass is satisfying good rumble and mid bass punches very well. On occasion when the low end is really called up Phantom SE can BRING THE THUNDER.
The cable it comes with also quite and nice and seems extravagant for a $1099 set. I'm really quite enjoying mine. The heat color change is a cool little addition as well and works great! Well done BGVP!
I love this dap , for a while I was thinking to utilize my old lg v30 as dap but I was not happy with limited ability to customize sound . This R4 has eq and mseb and I can taylor sound exactly the way I like it . Hiby music app is great but you can use any android media player in it . I also like that I can watch Youtube videos with it . I loaded 512gb micro sd card with few hundreds albums in flac and some in mp3 and everything works great . Balanced output works great and I had no problem driving my lsa hp2 headphones with it . I use 3.5mm output with campfire atlas and Im very happy with sound Im getting . Some users reported overheating but I guess they have early production models because mine never get hot only slightly warm over couple hours of use .
