Beat Audio Orbit Saga
Back in 2020, we announced our 10th-year anniversary product, the legendary Astrolabe. It was limited to 10 units worldwide, and naturally, many of our fans were unable to obtain it. So, using the same technology as the Astrolabe, we created the Orbit Saga, a sister product with a different tuning as well as a new color scheme. It was our hidden flagship for the past year or so, and now we have decided to officially launch it on our website.
Although their English names sound apart, they are actually both named among the stars. In China, Astrolabe is called “星盘” and Orbit Saga is named “星环”. As you can see, these two names are very similar, and we wanted them to be similar because the products are related. Regrettably, the similarity is lost in translation.
The Orbit Saga represents the ideal sound that we have been trying to reach for the first decade of our brand history. Even though some may be doubtful, all frequencies are improved with sparkling and airy treble, smooth and sweet vocal, and deep and powerful bass. Moreover, you can experience a whole new level of soundstage and clarity. Perhaps, we can outdo ourselves in creating a better cable, but I do not see that happening anytime soon.
4-WIRE OR 8-WIRE?
The 4-wire option has the advantages of being more economical and lighter in weight.
The 8-wire option has fuller sound, larger soundstage and punchier bass while still feels amazingly soft and easy to use.
The default length of our IEM cables is about 1.2 meters.
Multi-Elemental Alloy
When designing this cable, we had an oasis in mind, not a number of a spec sheet. With copper and silver as our base material, we added elements that we have never used before. The addition of each element would provide a different acoustic effect, and equally importantly, the percentage of how much we should be adding of each element to the mixture can also change the sound drastically. You can imagine the number of permutations we had to evaluate. Nevertheless, we arrived at the oasis with memorable days of trial and error.
Dual-Spiral Technology
Apart from its amazing core, we have two thin sheaths, one pure copper and one pure silver, spiraling around the core. These two spiralsprovide acoustic tuning as well as isolation to the core.
Although we have been using single spiral designs on other products such as the copper spiral on the Vermilion MKII and the silver spiral on the Supernova MKII+, the dual-spiral design actually took much experimentation for getting to the ideal sound while not stiffening the cable for a comfortable experience.
