Could be your “One’N Done” if that’s what you want.

This is a very genre agnostic IEM, for the past few weeks I’ve just been listening rather than pairing IEM to music. I have been pleasantly listening to Kpop, Dad Rock, 80’s hair bands, Metal, Country and most modern music releases. Not one has sounded like I need a different set to listen to each one.

This set is DAC transparent as the DAC used is the sound signature heard. Modern music sounds the best on Audioquest Dragonfly Cobalt and the Dragonfly RED was best for Rock, Metal, Grunge and 80’s. However I did need power this is a power piggy. The Cayin RU7 was the best all rounder for no nonsense use.

Sound stage is different vocals are often centered but intimate not congested at all. While instrument as. synthesized components are separated appropriately like there’s a mixing engineer as I’m listening.

I purchased the 3.5mm SE option, but have now in hindsight chosen the 4.4mm balanced option. I have paired this with an Effect Audio Cadmus 8W cable and only notice changes in volume alone.

This is an IEM that’s very safe to purchase as a gift if you would want to share your experience in this hobby. The recipient would understand your financial choices from that on.

A Prelude to the Annihilator

Pros: airy and open soundstage, excellent dynamics, clarity and detail retrieval, authoritative and non-overpowering bass, supple stock cables, aesthetic design, and high build quality.

Cons: the weight of the shell and bore size might be an issue for some users, comfort during long listening sessions, only three pairs of SpinFit tips were included

I have had the Pilgrim for over three weeks. I would like to share my initial impressions about these new IEMs from Elysian Acoustic. Most of the listening was done on the Chord Hugo fed by the lossless music sources. I found the Divinus Velvet and the Final Type-E tips provide the most comfortable fit.

The Pilgrim stands out with their open soundstage, excellent dynamics, and remarkable clarity and detail retrieval, making them a top choice for IEMS within their price range. The balance between bass, mid-range, and treble is quite impressive, providing a harmonious listening experience.
The bass is authoritative, providing a solid foundation without overpowering the other frequencies. The mid-range performance is exceptional, with vocals presented prominently and clearly. They are upfront and detailed yet manage to avoid being overly aggressive or "in your face," The treble blends well with the bass and mid-range. It’s energetic without being harsh or sibilant. The timbre is natural and engaging, creating an immersive listening experience that doesn't overwhelm the listener.

The supple stock cables enhance the overall experience by ensuring flexibility and ease of use. Additionally, the high build quality and an aesthetically pleasing design will appeal to users who value both function and form.

However, they are not without their drawbacks. Some users might find the weight of the shell and bore size problematic, particularly those with smaller ears. Long listening sessions might also pose a challenge in terms of comfort, potentially causing fatigue.

Overall, the Elysian Pilgrim IEMs offer a superb audio experience. They are one of the top performers within $500 price range. There are a few minor considerations that potential buyers should be aware of. If the fit and comfort is not an issue, these IEMs could be an excellent addition to your IEM collection.

A great introduction to Elysian

A great choice at this price point, and a window into the Elysian house sound. Starting with build and aesthetics, the Pilgrim have a pleasantly solid feel in the hand that distinguishes them from the myriad resin bodies out there. this is not to say they are heavy, just reassuringly solid. In person they are quite lovely as well, with a clean and interesting pattern on the outside that shows of the obvious detail and precision that has gone into their production. The shell and size are very comfortable in my average size ears. they snuggle into my ear canal smoothly and are wearable for several hours at a time. The The cable and connection seem both durable and nicely pliant. The Pentaconn Ear connector is tight without being difficult to disconnect when needed. As far as the sound goes, the Pilgrim is a very smooth operator. Details are present throughout from top to bottom without being sharp or aggressive. Bass is plentiful as well. Overall, the Pilgrim is an exceptionally enjoyable and relaxing iem. An easy recommendation at this price.

Pilgrim IEM

Crisp, clear top end, solid mids and bass. Excellent fit and finish. Perhaps not as balanced as a Thieaudio Oracle but very enjoyable. Highly recommended, especially at this price point. Thanks to Musicteck for the great service, as always
